Who we are and why we built this blog.
Welcome to blog.connex.au — a cybersecurity resource built for everyday Australians who want to stay safe online without needing a degree in computer science.
We cover the threats that actually affect real people: phishing scams, weak passwords, unsecured home networks, dodgy apps, and the tools that genuinely help you stay protected.
Cybersecurity advice is too often written for IT professionals. We write for everyone else — parents, small business owners, remote workers, retirees, and anyone in between who just wants to know: "Am I safe online?"
We only recommend products we've genuinely evaluated. Where we use affiliate links, we disclose them clearly. Our editorial opinions are never influenced by commercial relationships.

Transparency about how we earn.
blog.connex.au participates in affiliate marketing programs. This means that when you click certain links on our site and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission — at no additional cost to you.
Affiliate commissions help us keep the blog free and cover the cost of researching and writing our guides. However, our editorial opinions are completely independent of these relationships.
We only recommend products and services that we have genuinely evaluated and believe provide real value to our readers. We never accept payment to write positive reviews.
All articles containing affiliate links include a disclosure notice at the top of the article. You can always identify affiliate links by looking for this disclosure.
